Board-Mounted AC-DC Power Supplies Deliver up to 25W
Cosel Co. Ltd. announced the release of the new TUHS series ultra-small board-level single-output ac-dc power supplies. This new series is available in 4 power ratings, 3W, 5W, 10W and 25W in a fully-potted package. The TUHS 3 Watt is only 28.7 X 17.5 X 12.7 mm (1.13 X 0.5 X 0.69 inches). The TUHS series features universal input (85- to 264-Vac) with standard outputs of 5-, 12- and 24-Vdc. Only few external components are required, such as a hold-up capacitor, fuse and thermistor for operation. This small easy to use design provides more flexibility with board layout.
The TUHS Series boasts and efficiency as high as 90% and meets European ErP requirements. In addition the TUHS series is Class II complaint (no FG required), FCC Class B and operates in a wide temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees C (with de-rating). The TUHS has UL, and CE Safety certification and is backed by a 5-year warranty. Over-current and over-voltage protection are standard for all wattages.
An optional open frame plug and play version will be available with push on connectors for rapid prototyping or evaluation. Applications include LED lighting, test and measurement equipment, displays, modems, communications equipment and other applications where board space is limited.
