BCComponents Intros 2322 615 3x/5x Thermistors

BCComponents International BV (the Netherlands), a new addition to Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (Malvern, PA), announced the release of a pair of NTC thermistors Series that are coated with glass for environmental protection and feature nickel barrier contacts for improved soldering characteristics.

The 2322 615 3x and 2322 615 5x Series of surface-mount thermistors are designed for temperature compensation, sensing and protection circuits in applications such as battery chargers, switching power supplies and automotive systems. The devices are also suited for temperature regulation in optoelectronic components, including laser diodes and CCDs.

The 2322 615 3x is available in a 0603 package, while the 2322 615 5x is available in a 0805 casing. Both are shipped with resistance values ranging from 2.2 kiloohms to 100 kiloohms, with ±2, ±3, ±5 and ±10 percent tolerance. The thermistors are specified for operation over the -40°C to +150°C and exhibit a maximum power dissipation of 125mW at 25°C.
