AVX Corp. (Myrtle Beach, SC) announced that it now offers a two-capacitor array in an 0405 chip. Available in both X7R and NP0 ceramic dielectrics, these capacitor arrays cover a range of capacitance values from 1pF to 120pF, for the NP0, and 120pF to 0.1µF, for the X7R. The arrays have voltage ratings of 10, 16, 25 and 50V. Standard capacitance tolerances are ±10 percent, for the NP0, and ±20 percent, for the X7R.
“These capacitor arrays allow design engineers to take advantage of lower placement costs for applications requiring greater flexibility," commented Vance DeFelice, AVX product manager. “The broad range of capacitance values covered by these capacitors makes them ideal for a wide range of general-purpose applications."
The new capacitor arrays are available in tape-and-reel package options, with nickel terminations. Typical pricing for the 0405 capacitor arrays ranges from $0.059 to $0.11, depending on volume and capacitance value. Lead times are approximately 8 to 10 weeks for production values. Samples are available immediately.
