Advanced Analogic Technologies Inc. (AnalogicTech, Sunnyvale, CA), a developer of power management solutions, announced a new family of n-channel and p-channel power MOSFETs for portable applications. Fabricated in a proprietary 287 million cells/in² TrenchDMOS process and squeezed into small-outline SC70JW-8 packages, typical applications include cellular and cordless telephones, laptop computers, hand-held computers, digital cameras, dc/dc converters, and other battery-powered portable equipment.

The AAT8515 is a low-threshold, 20V, p-channel, load switch with an on-resistance of 35 milliohms at V(gs) = -4.5V, and 60 milliohms at V(gs)= -2.5V. The power MOSFET is designed for load-switching applications in battery packs, Smartphones, cellular phones, PDAs and any battery-powered portable equipment. The AAT8515 is the lowest on-resistance device in a family of SC70JW-8 products announced.

For pulse-width modulation or dc/dc conversion switch applications, AnalogicTech is also offering two n-channel power MOSFETs. The AAT9501 is a 25V, n-channel, power MOSFET with an on-resistance of 24 milliohms at V(gs) = 10V, and 40 milliohms at V(gs) = 4.5V. The AAT9560 is a 30V device with an on-resistance of 24 milliohms at V(gs) = 10V, and 40 milliohms at V(gs) = 4.5V.

The AAT8515, AAT9501 and AAT9560 are available now and all are offered at $0.44 each in 1,000-piece quantities.
