Aimtec, Inc. announced a new cost-effective unregulated AM1PS-NZ series of 1W power supplies that provide continuous short circuit protection with auto recovery restart. The restart feature will work continuously until the short circuit condition is cleared, protecting the converter, the load, and the converter's input circuit from extremely high currents a short circuit can cause.
Available in a compact dual inline DIP8 package (12.70 x 10.00 x 8.20 mm), the AM1PS-NZ is offered with an input output isolation upgraded to 1500Vdc for easy integration in industrial, telecommunication and computer applications.
Supported input voltages of 3.3-, 5-, 12-, 15- and 24-Vdc convert to single output voltages of 3.3-, 5-, 9-, 12-, 15-, and 24-Vdc. Operating within an ambient temperature range of -40 to +105 degrees C (derating at 85 degrees C), the AM1PS-NZ series is designed for versatility and can be integrated into a multitude of applications, such as digital circuits, low frequency analog, or relay drive circuits.
