Aimtec, Inc. announces the new AM10EW-NZ series. This 10-Watt dc-dc converter operates with an ultra-wide input of 40- to 160-Vdc (4:1) and is housed in a 2x1 DIP package. This new series provides input-to-output isolation of 1500Vdc, continuous short circuit protection, over voltage protection and an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees C. Standard output voltages of 5-, 12-, 15-, and 24-Vdc are offered.
These dc-dc converters operate with a nominal switching frequency of 350kHz and a conversion efficiency of 81% (5Vdc output) to 86% (24Vdc output), depending on output voltage. They are rated to deliver full-power up to 71 degrees C and derate linearly to 50% power at 85 degrees C. These converters weigh 22g and have a calculated MTBF of over one million hours (per MIL-HDBK-217F, Ground Benign).
This new series along with Aimtec’s existing AM8TW-IZ (8W) and AM15EW-IZ (15W) series can be utilized in any industrial application which requires 110-120Vdc rated input or battery supply voltages. Samples are available from stock.
